This beach engagement photoshoot with Court and Jake was such a dream. We ventured to Davenport beach, which is a little bit north of Santa Cruz, California. It’s filled with gorgeous cliffs and has some of the most beautiful scenery right at golden hour. I love this location for a beach engagement session because you can get two looks! We took some photos in the trees and then ended with the perfect golden glow over by the cliffs!

“Jake and I met at Bayside Church in Davis, CA and instantly clicked. We had our first date at an outdoor brewery in Dixon called Ruhstaller and we have been inseparable ever since. We are super adventurous and love to explore and just have fun.”

This was such a fun beach engagement photoshoot, because I am actually wonderful friends with Courtney! She was my roommate during my college career and anytime we get together we connect like there was no time in-between. When I met Jake at the session I quickly realized that he was the perfect fit for Court. I love her so much and know that she deserves someone just as amazing, and Jake, well he is just that perfect person for her. He is goofy, adventurous, and loves her unconditionally. It was such an honor to photograph the two of them and get the chance to not only reconnect but to get to know them as a couple.
