The Pismo Sand Dunes are such a stunning location for Miriam and Juan’s engagement session! Miriam and Juan are such a sweet couple and they booked me for their wedding in southern California this fall. One of the best things before your wedding day, is to have an engagement session. This helps us get to know each other better and create a relationship before your special day!

Tips for your Pismo Sand Dunes Engagement Photos

I was so excited to plan Miriam and Juan’s engagement session with them because they were up to doing two locations! I love doing multiple locations close in proximity for engagement sessions. By choosing to do this, it gives you such a gorgeous, full gallery to look back on while getting in a few different sceneries! We visited the Pismo Sand Dunes along with the Los Osos Oaks Preserve! They both love the outdoors and catching all the beautiful southern California views, so these two spots were absolutely perfect for them.

The next tip I have for you, is include me in your outfit planning! It is so much fun for me to help you plan your outfits for your engagement session and I really do love it. One thing I noticed, is that my couples can get a little overwhelmed sometimes and overthink their outfit picks. To make it simple, I usually suggest to do a casual outfit and a fancier outfit. Then, depending on the outfits chosen we decide which outfits suits the location the best. Miriam and Juan went neutral and it was stunning! Her green dress was perfect for the Pismo Sand Dunes, and their more casual outfit fit the Los Osos Oaks Preserve vibes wonderfully!

How Juan Popped the Question

“We went on a week-long trip to Jersey in August 2021. On our last day there, we went to Atlantic City. He took me on a helicopter ride touring the entire city. When we landed and got off the helicopter our closest friends line up one by one with the “Miriam, will you marry me” signs? I turned around and he was on one knee. 🙂 ” – Miriam

Can we all just agree that Juan is a keeper and their proposal should be recreated into a Hallmark movie? So sweet and beautiful!
