You should actually get to live it.

Your wedding isn't a photoshoot. It's the first day of your marriage. I'll document every moment of it, so you can stay present for all of it.

Bride and groom under her veil in the golden evening light

Documentary wedding photography for couples who see marriage as a covenant before God.

Your dad's face right before he walks you down the aisle. The prayer before you walk out. Your best friend crying through your vows (and pretending she isn't haha).

Then I step back and let it happen.

A hand squeeze. A look across the room. Your mom reading your dad's face during the toasts. They're over in a second, and they're the ones you'll love most.

Why my photos look the way they do

A bride once didn't book me because my skies weren't blue.

She was right.

For years I edited dark and muted, and I built my whole business on it. Then a bride passed on me because of those skies, and I couldn't argue with her. So I changed everything.

Now I edit true-to-tone, because I'm not going to change what God already made beautiful.

Behind the camera

Hi, I'm Alyssa! Here's how I take care of you.

300+ weddings in, this is what you can count on.

  • I'll know your timeline better than you do.
  • I'll work right alongside your coordinator.
  • I'll make your grandma laugh and your groomsmen behave.
  • I'll never be one more thing for you to manage.

"I signed a contract with her the minute we got off our first Zoom call. It was the best investment I made for my wedding."
Amanda G.

I'm for you if...

  • You want to be present, not performing for a camera.
  • You want images that feel like your actual day, not a trend.
  • You care about the people in your day as much as the details.

Probably not if...

  • You want a heavily posed, production-style shoot.
  • Photography is an afterthought, not a priority.
  • You're looking for the lowest price, not the right fit.

Investment

Collections start at $6,400.

Questions

The ones I get asked the most.

Where do you photograph weddings?

All over California, with no travel fees anywhere in the state. I'm based in Northern California and photograph a lot of weddings in Sacramento, Chico, Napa, Sonoma, Lake Tahoe, Lake Almanor, and the Bay Area, plus Carmel, Big Sur, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, and SoCal. Getting married out of state? Ask me!

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as your date and venue are locked in! Spring and fall dates in California go fast, so 9 to 12 months out is ideal. If your date is sooner, still reach out. I'd so much rather you ask than assume I'm booked.

What if we're awkward in front of the camera?

Oh my gosh, almost every couple tells me this! I'll tell you exactly what to do for the handful of shots that need it, then step back and let you just be together. Your engagement session is the perfect practice run.

How do we secure our date?

Reach out and you'll hear from me within 24 hours with my guide. After our Zoom call, sign your contract and pay your 30% retainer. Your date is officially yours!
